Global Online Systems is a scam, don't fall for it

I put this page up as a warning to those who are seeing those
"work at home" ads out there, touting some kind of website
and making ridiculous claims of income of "up to $5000 a month."
It is NOT really a home business, it is Global Online Systems,
an illegal pyramid scheme which uses Herbalife as a front,
called "The Newest Way to Wealth."

Message board posts and websites show the
FACTS about Global Online Systems being a scam.

James, a regular of the MMF Hall of Humiliation posts lots of
damaging information about this scam. Interesting stuff:
a class action lawsuit, a SPEWS listing for spamming,
multiple aliases, people complaining about losing lots of money.
Jaguar Promotions runs the GOS website using many aliases.

Rob Cockerham also exposes the scam, just click here or here.
Short story: You will probably be asked to buy a "decision kit" for $38 or so, then you will be asked to spend $299, for an "international business package" (IBP), then you will be asked to spend $2,000 to accumulate "Value Points" to become a "supervisor".

Rich Birr also tells about Herbalife, even the "front" for
for this "Newest Way to is not that good!
Distributors BEWARE! Herbalife International will take
every opportunity to weasel out of standing behind their
products. If you ever have a customer return merchandise
for a refund (and this happens more often than you might think)
be aware that YOU will be the one stuck in the middle. First,
they stick YOU with stocking inventory. YOU are required to
give the customer their money back. But Herbalife won't
give YOU a refund. Best Herbalife will do is ship you
replacement products. But make sure you have every 't' crossed
and every 'i' dotted because you can't just send them a copy
of the order you placed with them or reference their order number.

The Rick A. Ross Institute also exposes this scam as well.

NWTW now faces a class action lawsuit.

Explaining the Newest Way to Wealth scam.
The system does not involve much retailing of products, because
you are actually spending most of your time looking for people
to recruit.
This is what a pyramid scheme is all about!

How "Newest Way to Wealth," which uses "Herbalife as...[its]
front line 'product,'" became one man's "nightmare"

The Rick A. Ross Institute also exposes Herbalife as well. There are many links on that page, which show that this is a bad
"business" to get into. A distributor sues Herbalife and wins!

Here is a link about those "work at home" signs.
"They really don't have a job for you as implied in the ads,"
says Fran Tryon, director of the Bureau of Consumer Protection.
"They aren't going to pay you $25 to $75 an hour or $5,800
per month. You will be asked to pay them money-at least $195
and up to $4,500 to get started as a distributor." Wisconsin
job hunters are being misled by these ads promising wealth
and freedom. The work is not available unless an investment
is made-a direct violation of Wisconsin's consumer protection
law, since there's no disclosure of the investment required.
And there's another misrepresentation because the ads describe
inflated income opportunities.

I also found more information about the scam,
you can read about it here and here.
Renee is glad we (tinw) posted this information. Read her post here. A victim named Stanley steps forward and tells his tale. William, an ex-HerbaLifer, says it was a learning experience. Crystal, another victim, tells her story. Jaimie, ordered the "decision package" and
wanted to get a refund, and was stonewalled.
He asked other participants for help and I replied.
Bill also has something to say about this.
Several people have been saved from participating in this scam,
such as:Kristy, Denise, Lisa and Sal.
